OPUNAKE.
(PBOM OUB OWN COBSESPONDENT.) Opunake, Monday.
The Hinemoa landed six native prisoners on Thursday morning, and subsequently steamed for New Plymouth. Those men will remain at Opoua until the return of all prisoners, when they say they shall proceed to Parihaka en masse. They are apparently displeased at the manner in which they have been chosen for release. I notice men sentenced to two years' labor are allowed to return, and ploughmen detained. The Maori must think our laws strange. [The report of the public meeting will be found, in our fourth page.]
