London, December 22.
A serious railway collision has occurred to-day at Leeds. Over fifty persons were killed and injured. The Fiitieth Begiment has been ordered for service in Natal against the Boers.
County of Limerick, Ireland, has been proclaimed a disturbed district. A panic has occurred at Chicago owing to numerous grain, failures. The price of wheat is falling. Further telegrams to hand from the Cape regarding the rebellion in the Transvaal, announce that the telegraph lines between Heidelberg and Praetoria were cut before the Boers proceeded to the former pl&DB. News t>s fcbe onbhreak was, however, soon received at Praetoria, and the Governor of the Transvaal, Sir George Colley, at once gave orders for all available troops in the district to be despatched without delay to Heidlberg, where the Boers are, as already announced, in complete occupation. Over £10,000 has been subscribed for the defence of Parnell and the other leaguers to be tried in Dublin.
The English Government has thanked Admiral Seymour for the manner in which he conducted the movements of the combined &eeb when engaged in the demonstration against Turkey for delivering up Dulcigno to Montenegro.
