failed to pass. The result of the examinations in Standards IV. and V. must be regarded as highly satisfactory to the teachers, parents, and pupils. In reference to the infant department, the Rev. Mr. Torry informs us that he is authorised by the Inspector to state that it is the best he has found outside of Wanganui.
