Papawai is a dark bay horse, standing 164 bands high, great power and quality, good constitution and temper, splendid legs and feet ; is well adapted for getting weight-carriers, and crosscountry horses. Papawai was got by the famous horse Sator out of Maid. Sator is by Fort-a-Bras, out of Slmonette. Fort-a-Bras is by The Baron, out of Subpoena, by Physician ; her dam, Slime, by Picton. Simonefcte is by Fiiz-G-la<3iator, out of Flora Mclvor, by Venison. Papawai, dam Maid, bred by Mr. Lovegrove, by Golden Grape, out of Sally Brass, by Sir Hercules, out of Vesta. For further pedigree, see " New Zealand Stud Book." Terms — £4* single mares ; two or more, as per agreement. Gfoomage, ss.
