Friday, 22nd October.
Thomas Quinlivan charged William Dawson, law clerk, with misappropriating the sum of £.%, paid to defendant, as agent for Mr. Parrington, solicitor, in satisfaction of a judgment of the court, in the case of Hone Pihama v. Quinlivan.
The defendant said he was prepared with sixty-four objections to the information. (Laughter.)
The Bench dismissed the case, stating that the summons was informal.
LANDLORD AND TENANT DISPUTE.
Arthur Owen, proprietor of the Egmont Hotel, sued Thomas Walker, lessee of the stables connected with the hotel, for the
ttim of £89 2? lid, balance of an account for board and lodging, sundries, and use of stable and plant. Mr. Ward, who appeared tor defendant, stated that his client had paid £7 4s 9d into court. After hearing tbe evuleuce, the "Bench gave judgment for JBl Is, with £$ 7s costs. Through pressure on our space, we are compelled to hold over our report of the case.
