TLb cricket match was resumed this morning at the Crystal Palace, between the Australians and Players of England. The former scored 133 in first innings ; the home team 90 in their first innings, and are therefore 43 runs to the bad. In the innings of the Australians, McDonald was caught for 28 runs. The home team have gone in for their second innings.

September 29.

The cricket match, Australians versus Players, was resumed this morning, when they scored 83. Spofforth, "who was absent on Monday and, Tuesday, to-day went to the wickets in the'place of Bannerman, and was caught out when he had put together 21 runs. The Australians have won the match against The Players by "two wickets. The bowling of the Home team was dead on the -wicket, and eight Australians were disposed of before'the required number of runs — 40 — were obtained. The weather to-day is fine. Steps are being taken by a number of colonists, in England to present a testimonial to the crickoters before they return , to Australia. = ■
