Auckland, Friday night. Mr. Alfred Buckland reports: — Fat <attle in less than usual numbers, but at last week's values. Good cattle, from 269 to 30s; inferior cattle, from 22s per 1001b. Sheep arrived from the coast too late for the market, consequently they were in short supply, and prices rallied slightly. For store sheep there was a fair enquiry, ME. PEEEMAN E. JACKSON'S FORTNIGHTLY REPORT. Wanganpi, September 22. I haA a, large entry of cattle at the St. Hill-street Sale-yards to-day, which were all disposed of at or after the auction. Beef made 20s. Sheep were not quite so brisk, a few pens having to be turned out unsold. Cattle.— At the St. Hill-street yards, 301 head were yarded— Fat cows, £5 15s to £8; «tor.e bullocks, JB6; steers, £4 5s t0 .£41 2s 6d; <»ws, £3 10s to SA 10s; yearlings, £2, l2s 6d. Sheep. — 713 were penned at the yards to-day—F at sheep, 11s 6d to 12s 9d; stores, 8s to 10s 3d ; hoggets, 4s 6d. Pigs.— Porkers, 20s to 355.
