WELLINGTON RACING CLUB MEETING.

The Committee of the "Wellington Racing Club held a meeting last week, when it was agreed that one day's races should be held on St. Andrew's Day, 80th November, y The following programme was arranged: — Railway Stakes Handicap, 50sovs., three-quarters of a mile ; Hurdle Handicap, 50sovs., about two and a quarter miles; Hack Hurdle Race, 15sovs., minimum weight, about one and a half miles ; Hutt Park Spring Handicap, 12550v5., second horse . to receive 25sovs. from the stakes, one and threequarter miles; Hack Race of lOsovs., minimum weight ; Consolation Handicap, 30sovs., one mile. Nominations close on Wednesday, 20th October. Weights will be declared on Monday, 15th November. Acceptances fall due a week later.

The Racing Club have drawn up the programme for the annual meeting, which takes place on the 3rd and 4th February. The principal .events are the Wellington Cup* of 400 'so ys., and the Racing Club Handicap, of 2QQ soys.
