WHEREAS by the second clause of the Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858, it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, amongst other things, to constitute districts within which the provisions of the said Ordinance shall be in force : And whereas by the amended Act of 1877, the power of the Superintendent has been transferred to the County Council : I therefore notify herewith that the NGAIRE DISTRICT, Bounded towards the North by the Patea river until it intersects the confiscated boundary line ; towards the south by confiscated boundary line and continuation produced to Waingongoro river ; towards the West by Waingongoro river to section 67a, and from thence by a road line to Patea river, is constituted a Road Distiict under the provisions of the above Ordinance ; and that the following persons have been appointed to serve as Commissioners and Auditors, viz. : — Commissioners. Herbert Southey Charles Quin Robert Thomas Hawke Richard O'Donovan Thomas Mabey George Calvert, and Samuel Gray. Auditors. James McCutchan, and Charles Reynall Wreford. The first meeting of the Board shall be held in Brett and Johnston's Hotel, Normanby, at 2 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, September 15. ( W. DALE, Chairman Patea County Council.
