Menelik is 3 years old, of a bright chestnut color, and shows great bone and substance. He took first prize as a yearling, and first prize as a 2 -year -old at the Agricultural Shows. Terms : — Single mares, £3 10s.; two or more, as per agreement ; groomage, ss. Fees payable on Ist January. Sire — Mr. Kettle's imported horse Sir William Wallace. Sir William Wallace is a beautiful dark bay with black points, and was foaled January 7th, 1872. For symmetry, strength, and action, he stands unrivalled. He is perfectly quiet, docile, and tractable. No horse approaches him in quality and quantity of bone, muscle, and bair. He is a sure foal-getter, and his stock are turning out first-class. He has taken the Champion Prize in Wanganui two years in succession, viz., in 1878 and 1879. For pedigree and further particulars, see large cards. Fee — Single mares, at £4 105. ; reduction made for two or more mares. • Groomage fee, 2s. 6d., to be paid when the mare is served. Fees payable on January Ist, 18S1. Paddock for mares free for one month, after which a charge of Is. 6d. per week will be made. Every care taken, but no responsibility.
