WHAKAMARA SCHOOL.

In accordance with the announcement published in our columns, a meeting of householders in the Whakamara district was held at Messrs. Dunton and Barnett's residence on Saturday evening, for the purpose of forming a school district, and elect ing a committee. There were about thirteen .or fourteen householders present, and Mr. F. J. Gane was elected chairman. The following nominations we.re received: — Mr. Edwards, proposed by Mr. Holgerson, seconded by Mr. Pain ;• Mr. G-. W. Gane, proposed by Mr. Pearee, seconded by Mr. Edwards ; Mr. Bremer, proposed by Mr. G-. W. Gane, seconded by Mr. Pain,- Mr. Pain, proposed by Mr. Wallace, seconded by Mr. , Pearee ; Mr. Allan, proposed by Mr. Duirs, seconded by Mr. Edwards ; Mr. Wallace, proposed by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Edwards;- Mr. Williams, proposed by Mr. Holgerson, seconded by Mr. G.
