Melbourne, Friday. Captain Payne, Harbormaster, who was recently suspended, has been reinstated. All the Ministers have been re-elected ; Messrs. Berry and Vale by small majorities ; Messrs. Richardson and Williams by large majorities.
Brisbane, Friday. In the Lfgislative Council, last night, the Colonial Treasurer announced that the Government intend this session to introduce a Bill to authorise the construction of the trans-continental railway to the Gulf of Carpentaria, on the principle of paying by land grants.
Sydney, Friday. The Union Company's st. arner Albion sailed yesterday for Auckland.
