THE NORMANBY SCHOOL.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE. STAE.
Sib, — As a result of -a hole-and-corner meeting of our School Committee, -held on Saturday night, Mr. McGutchan, the newlyappointed teacher, was taken to the school on Monday morning by Mr. Quin, the chairman, bat Mi\Hill, the present teacher, I understand, refused to give np possession, stating that His resignation had not' yet been accepted' by the Education Board. Why, in the name of Providence, don't the committeemen study the Education Act a little more, and thus avoid such gross blunders ? — I am, &c,
, Father of a Family.
P.S. — Is it true that some strong, not to say unbecoming, language was .used in the presence of the children during the altercation that took place between teacher and children? If so, it ought to be investigated. '- - '
