Thursday, July 29. (Befor. C. A. Wray, Esq., R.M.) CIVIL CASES. W. H. E. Wanklyn v. C C. Hun-ell.— Claim for .£l2 70. lid. Judgment for amouut and costs ; to be paid in weekly instalments of £3. J. Coii'ey v. T. Rogers. — Claim, £1 6s. No appearance of defendant. Judgment by default, with costs. "W. R. Prosser v. R. A. A. Shearan. — Claim for ;£l3. Mr. PaiTington, for plaintiff, stated the defendant wished his evidence taken in Wellington, and his client had no objection. Case adjourned till 26th August. C. E. Gibson v. M. Danehay. — Claim for 10s. 4d., on a judgment summons. On the application of plaintiff, who stated he had been unable to find out what position the defendant was in, the case was adjourned till next court day. R. t. Hawke v. E. M. Symons.— Claim for i!2l ss. Mr. Parrington, for plaintiff, read a telegram from defendant, asking to have the case postponed for a week, and stating his home had been just burnt down, nothing had been saved, and the place was uninsured. Adjourned till next court day. W. Noble v. J. Pope.— Claim for 12s. No appearance of defendant. Judgment by deiault for amount, and costs. The Court then adjourned.
