Christchuech, Tuesday night. Two men, named Waters, and Rowlands, were drowned in Paiki'-ikiri Bay, Banks' Peninsula, by the capsizing of a boat. Nelson, Tuesday night. The charge of perjury brought against an M.H.R. will be heard on Friday. ! Dunedin, Tuesday night. A fire occurred this morning on the premises of Messrs. Durand, Black, and Co., which partially destroyed the storeroom. The origin of the fire is unknown. The loss is estimated at £1400, covered by insurance, in the National Company.
