RANGITIKEI.

Mr. Ameubury reports having held a most successful Bale of stock on Tuesday, at his yards, Rangitikei. Notwithstanding the general depression existing, the lots were numerous and the prices realised encouraging. There was a decided upward tendency for cattle. Store bullocks, from L 4 178 to L 5 10s ; good dairy cows, from L 5 15s to L 9 15s; yearlings, L 2 10s. There was a good demand for sheep, but no mipply. Draught horses in good demand, and much inquiry for good hacks, but no quitting inferior lots. The whole tone of the sale evidenced a vast improvement in the market.
