Wanganui, June 16.
My sales during the past fortnight have paesed off fairly-well; prices showing some slight improvement, with an increased demand for store stock. Sbeep keep rising in value, with every prospect of good prices ruling as the spring approaches. Beef remains at lost quotations, being lGs for medium, and 13s to 20s for prime.
Cattle. — At Waverley, 211 head were yarded. Milch cows, £Q to £9 ; two-year-old steers, £o ; yearlings, £1 10s ; calves, £1 10s. At St.Hill-street, 324 head were sold. Fat cows, £a 10s to £7 ; bullocks, JBS 15s to JBO 5s ; cows, £-i ss ; three-yeav-old Bteers, £5 2s Gd; eighteen-month-old steers, JB3 7s 6d ; yearlings, £i ss ; milch cows, £<i to £12 2s 6d.
Sheep. — At Waverley, 516 were penned. Wethers, 7s 6d ; ewes, 5s 9d to 6s 6d. At to-day's sole only 535 came forward. Ewes, 6s to 10s ; wethers, 9s 3d to 10s 3d.
Horses. — Dull of sale, only a few finding purchasers at low prices. Exports. — 10 cattle, 517 sheep.
