Cabt/ti/e, Monday. The oohooner Colonist, from Greymouth, ■with coals, consigned to Wni. Dale, arrived here ju»irday. The Patea left on Sunday morning with About 10 tons of cargo. On the ket two occasions of tbe steamer's leaving Wellington she has been unable to fetch a large quantity of the goods ready for shipment to thiß port. It is said thnt Captain Evans, of the steamer Walcatu, offered to take the Burplua, but his proposal -was declined. Tuesday. The s.B. Patea is expected by this morning's tide, and will proceed to Nelson with a cargo, cocsietiug chiefly of fat cattle. The s.s. Clyde left yesterday for Wangnnni with a consignment of pigf?, reported to bavo came from the Wahnate Plains.
