Wellington, Friday night.
In the House of Representatives to-day, replying to a question, the Government said that pending the report of the Railway Comniissiouei's, all expenditure on railways was limited to completing existing contracts and finding work for the unemployed. A large number of Government Bills were read a second tune without debate.
