Successful Recital

MRS. TAYLOR'S PUPILS

ThcTreeital given by the pupils of Mrs. Noel Taylor in the Hutt Intermediate School Hall was a groat success. The programme was nicely varied and the standard of work high, with the result that the items were keenly enjoyed by the audience.

Under the baton of Mrs. Taylor the choirs sang with artistry and good tone, their items including "Early One Morning," "Comin' Thru the Rye," "All in the April Evening," "Skye Boat Song," "Deep River," "Shepherd's Dance," "Carnival Ball,' '"Brown Bird Singing," "The Oars are Plashing," "All Through the Night," "Where'er You Walk," "The Bells of St. Mary's," "Spring Song," "Because,' "Robin-a-Thrush," "Come to the Fair," "It. Was a Lover and His Lass," "Good-bye" and "Silent Night." Pianoforte solos were given by M. McDonald, J. Winstanley, N. McCabo, C. Moffat, B. Moore-Carter, L. Thompson, G. Thompson, C. Lyons, N. Christophers, J. Dudding, .T. Shearer, A. Page, J. Hollier, M. Sandii'ord, and T. Mitchelmore.

Songs were sung by L. Wheeler, M. Pirie, S. Cartwright, F. Featherstone, L. M. Edmonds, J. Maxwell, I. Benzies and B. Evans. Mrs. N. Taylor and Miss ~N. Christophers were accompanists.
