Soot Nuisance

HOSPITAL BOARD'S PROMISE The Wellington Hospital Board notified the Lower Hutt City Council on Monday night that its engineer would do his utmost to eliminate the soot and smoke nuisance from the chimney at the Hutt Hospital, about which a complaint had been lodged by a resident in the vicinity. The Board regretted that a nuisance had been caused .

Councillor B. Algie, who is also a member of the Hospital Board, said the Board was anxious to abate the nuisance.

The Mayor thanked Councillor Algie for her efforts in the matter.
