Annual Ball
POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICERS
Arrangements have been finalised for the second annual ball of the Lower Hutt Post and Telegraph officers to be held at the Horticutural Hall on Friday next. The indications are. that this function will be eveh more popular that that of last year. Floor space will be limited, but a non-stop programme by two dance bands will assure everyone of a good evening’s entertainment. '
The local Postmaster, Mr. G. Dick, and Mrs. Dick, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. G. Mellor, will act as hosts and hostesses.
Included in .the official party will be the Hon. W. Nash, Minister of Finance, Mr. Moolran, M.P., The Director-General ol' the Post and Telegraph Department, Mr. P. Cryer and Mrs. Cryer, The Ball Committee is fully representative of all branches of local post offices, with Mr. A. W. Freeman as chairman, and Mr. D. Drury as secretary. Mr. T. A. Dawkins will undertake the duties of M.C.
