HUTT VALLEY CLUB FIRST GRADE University secured a 2-0 win over Hutt in a hard-fought tussle at the Hutt Recreation • Ground. University had the territorial advantage throughout the first spell, but by fighting back hard until halftime the Hutt backs kept: the score down to 1-0,, a goal, by the University inside left, R. O’Connoiv ■ The Hutt forwards broke through several times . during’ the second spell, but were split up before they could score.. Another goal by R. O’Connor made the final score University 2, Hutt 9. Other results were:—.

Second Grade. —Hutt lost to Wellington College, A-2. J. Fleet and G. Lindsay scored for Hutt. Third Grade. —Huia beat Hutt, 3-0. Fourth Grade. —Hutt Valley High School beat Hutt, 5-4, in a fast, hard game at Waterloo Reserve. The issue was in doubt until the I final whistle. Hutt owed much of their thrust to player-coach P. Sowden. L. Crook at full-back and W. Trickett at left wing also assisted greatly in the team's good showing against ihe section leaders. Scorers for Hutt were W. Trickett (2) and P. Sowden (2).

Seventh Grade. —Hutt A lost to Petone A, 9-2; Hutt B lost to Petone B, 4-3.
