EARLIER RELEASE URGED At the suggestion of Mr. N. K. Davidson, the council of the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce and Industry decided at its last meeting to support the Lower Hutt City Council in its request to film managements for the earlier release of films in the Hutt Valley. Mr. Davidson said that there were good theatres in the Hutt Valley, but sometimes films were not shown here until a considerable time after they had been screened in Wellington. This meant that many Valley people went to Wellington to see films.
