BUS STOPS

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —As a regular passenger by bus from the corner of Waterloo Road and Oxford Terrace to Lower Hutt and beyond may I make a suggestion that would have the wholehearted approval of residents living in the vicinity of the bus stop on that corner. This suggestion, which could perhaps be referred to the New Zealand Road Motor Services, would be to change the existing bus stop on the south-western side of the corner of Waterloo Road and Oxford Terrace to the southeastern side of that corner. This, then, to be a scop for all buses citybound, whether via Oxford Terrace or straight on via Waterloo Road. If this change were effected it would mean that passengers could board all buses proceeding to Lower Hutt instead of having the disconcerting experience, when waiting at present corner stop, of seeing buses go past them around Oxford Terrace and stopping 100 yards beyond at the railway station. —I am, etc., H.M.W.
