NAENAE HEALTH CENTRE

ATTITUDE OF MR. NASH A questioner at Mr. W. Nash’s meeting in Lower Hutt last week asked if the candidate would give free choice of medical opinion in the health centre schemes. The questioner also asked why the Government refused State houses in the new areas to medical practitioners who desired to set up in private practice. Mr. Nash replied that there was a proposal to get a health centre established in Naenae, and he would do all lie could to help the scheme,,' Which was similar to that outlined by Dr. Douglas Robb. If a good health centre was provided there was no reason to provide a house for a doctor who desired to start private practice. The health centre would provide what was wanted.
