IMPORTANCE OF TRANSPORT
At tlie annual meeting of the Lower Hutt Ratepayers’ Association Mr. E. Hunt, in urging that more consideration be given to transport problems, said: “Lower Hutt is little more than a dormitory for Wellington, on account of the large number of people who work in Wellington and live in the Valley, therefore the transport system is of vital concern to ratepayers.” The chairman assured the member that the question of transport was receiving earnest consideration from the Transport Department and the City Council.
