R.S.A. CONCERT

ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME. There was a good attendance at the concert arranged by the Returned Services Association in the King George Theatre on Sunday night on behalf of the fund for improvements to servicemen’s graves in Taita Cemetery. An enjoyable programme was presented, including songs by Mrs. M. Sproulle, Valerie Simpson, Joan Akers and Albert Walsh, dances by Nola Symmons, Pauline Allen, Valma I-lunt, Jean Goss, Tony Martin, and Ewan McCann, novelty song and dance by Elva White, guitar selections by D. C. Johnson, magic by Carter, humour by Lockyer and Fox and James Duncan, saxophone solos by Neil Norris, and selections by the orchestra. Mr. F. M. Ryan was producer, Mr. A. Cohen stage manager, and Mr. S. Wood accompanist. R.S.A. Ball. The R.S.A. Victory Ball, to be held in the Horticultural Hall on Friday night, will be one of the big events of the season. The Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, and Lady Freyberg will be present.
