MEETING OF PARENTS

EASTERN MUTT KINDERGARTEN A meeting of .parents of past, present and prospective kindergarten pupils in the Eastern Hutt area will be held in (lie Knox Church Hall on Thursday night. The invitation is particularly addressed to the fathers. It is pointed out by the chairman of the Building Committee, Mr. John Hogan, that while the womenfolk bear the whole responsibility for actually maintaining and administering the kindergartens, (lie fathers should assist in providing tiie new buildings so urgently required. He contends that so far insufficient support has been given to the campaign being conducted by the Free Kindergarten Association from the Eastern Hutt area, which extends from Hutt City to Taila and is at present served only by a small kindergarten in the Knox Church Mall. '•Only to the extent thai we show by our efforts we are prepared to play our part can we expect consideration from Government Departments or others concerned," he adds.
