BUILDING PERMITS
£62,337 FOR MONTH Fifty-five building permits, of a total value of £62,337, were issued by the Lower Hutt City Council last month, compared with 28 permits totalling £20,091, during the same period last year. The permits last month included £31,000 for an intermediate school at the corner of Kauri and Wilford Streets, £11,039 for dwellings in wood, £3520 for dwellings in concrete, £B3IO for additions to factories, £4950 for a bakehouse, and £270 for Army huts.
