HOLD-UP IN HUTT
THREE YOUTHS SENTENCED Stating that New Zealand did not -want gangsters threatening the lives of honest members of the community-, and stressing the gravity of the offence. Mr. Justice Fair in the Supreme Court, at Wellington on Tuesday sentenced the three youths concerned in the recent armed holdup.at the De Luxe confectionery shop in Lower Hutt. Michael David Marsh (18), of no occupation, who threatened the proprietress of the shop with a, revolver orVid robbed the till while the other «'0 waited outside, was sentenced -12 months' hard labour, to be followed by 12 months' reformative detention. John Mullaney (21), farm hand, was ordered two years' reformative detention, and Dennis Arnold Priestley (19), labourer, was ordered to be detained in a Borstal institution tor two years.
