WOMEN'S SECTION
HUTT VALLEY B.S.A. At the annual general meeting Of the Women's Section of tne Hutt Valley Returned Servicemen's Association, held in the Horticultural Hall last Thursday night, Mrs. D. Benstead presided over a fair attendance. The annual report, stated that Hie end of the war curtailed the activities of the Women's Section in certain directions, but it adjusted itself to peacetime re-construction and continues to work in the best interests of returned servicemen and servicewomen. Excellent work had been done during the year, and thanks.were expressed to all who had assisted the Section. It' was stated that two shop days were being arranged on behalf of the U.S.A. candidate in the Victory Queen Carnival. Election of Officers. The election of officers resulted— Patroness, Mrs. Walter Nash; president, Mrs. A. J. Hyder; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames J. W. Andrews, R. B. Ashe, A. Monigatti, A. N. Gentry, and D. Benstead; lion, vice-presi-dents. Lady Roberts, Mrs. H. Green and Mrs. D. S. Milne; executive, Mesdames Andrews, T. Hudson, Benstead, Gentry, Monigatti, R. B. Ashe, and Littlejohn; war graves committee,' Mesdames A. B. Wilton, (convenor), A. A. Davies, R. Robins and Delaney; trustees Taita Cemetery Account, Mrs. A. A. Davies (Women's Section) and Mr. Alex. Monagitti (president R.S.A.); secretary, Mrs. M. McDonald (re-elected); treasurer, Mrs. G. E. Littlejoh.i; general committee, Mesdames D. Annear, W. Ash, A. A., Davies, b awcett, Gentry, Delaney, Hudson, Ross, Gyles, Robins, Wilton, Waldie, Wood row, ,T. E. Vogel and Stoupe. Mrs. T. Hudson eulogised the services rendered by the retiring president, Mrs. Benstead to whom a hearty vote was extended by acclamation.
