JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
FORMED IN HUTT VALLE* The foundation of a junior Chamber of Commerce in Hutt Valley was announced by the president of the senior Chamber, Mr. A. E. Tomkies, at the last meeting of the executive council. Mr. Tomkies stated that the project had been fully discussed by the executive and officially "blessed" by the parent body. The young men of the district were very keen and similar bodies in other districts had achieved outstanding sucsesses. There was no question but such junior Chambers of Commerce were of great benefit to their respective communities and the older members of the Chamber anticipated good results when the young men really got going as a live organisation. Membership of the junior Chamber would be limited to those under 40 years of age.
