WEDDING
MONKS — ROSEVEARE A very pretty wedding was solemnized recently at the Trinity Congregational Church- between Joan Adelaide, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Roseyear of Petone, and Alex Geoffrey, elder son of Mrs Boyd and the late Mr. Alic Monks of Nelson. The officiating minister was Pastor lan Gordon. The bride, who entered the Church on the arm of her father, was beautifully gowned in a frock cut on classical"lines, and her heirloom veil which was lent by the bridegroom's mother was held in place by a coronet of roses. Sue carried a Prayer Book and on her arm wore a ribbon attached to which was a spray of orange blossom, roses and ferget-me-nots.
The bridesmaids, who weire Miss, Daphne Cox and Miss Helen Craven, looked charming, both being dressed alike in frocks of pale blue figured satin cut with a slight train, their headgear was cyclamen veils held in place by coronets of blue lilies. They both carried Prayer Books and hanging from their arms were basketß in which were sweetly arranged flowers of pink and blue tonings.'
The duties of best man and groomsman were ably carried out by Mr. Tom Boyd and Petty Officer Stan Kennett respectively.
The Church was very prettily decorated by friends of the bride, and during the signing of tlie Register, "Oh, Promise Me" was beautifully rendered by Mrs. W. Coleman. Mr A. Pickles presided at the organ.
