iA* Monday's meeting of the City iuncil it was unanimously decided X the motion of Cr Gregory, to forard the following resolution to the epartment of Internal Affairs: "That the Lower Hutt City Council insiders that the men and women the Services returning to the DoInion on furlough or discharge, are eligible for Free Railay Transport, should the best •ivileges extended to then! on their ave, and that the existing system of Second-class Fares is not ittiriatible with the general expresses so often heard that 'Nothing is 10 good for the soldiers'; and this Otmcil expresses the opinion that Lembers of the Services should he canted First-class Travelling Accom nidation."
