GRAND CONCERT
A concert of outstanding merit, will be held in the King George, Theatre on Sunday, Ist August, ii., 'aid of the Lower Hutt Free Kinder;-1 garten Association. The programme; which has been arranged by Mrs. P. Dowse, contains the names of many leading artists in music, song, dance; a.nd drama. Mrs Alma Milward (mezzo soprano), Karen Look (contralto), Bessie Anderson (elocution and radiio artist), Florence Holnorsen (soprano and, 2YA artist), Wini fred McLaughlin (violinist), Peggy Conway (dramatic soprano), M. Slaney (elocutionist and Auckland radio Vial Jones (one of Wellington's male singers), Frank her (b&sso baritone), Miss D. Sarra-? field (ta,p dance). The one act play, "Methusela" by Philip Jphnson, by, 'the Waterloo Fabian Dramatic Society, prbduced by Mrs. Dowse, will include the following artists: Mesdames l'esigo, Anderson, Milne, Staples, Burnell, Dowse and Hurrell. This play will be produced by, the Fabians at the British Drama League Festival in Wellington when they will compete for the Michael Myers Cup. The Hutt Valley Memorial Technical College Boys' Band will also assist.
