WATERLOO SCHOOL

Two great events of interest to Waterloo residents are to be held this month at the Waterloo School.

On Friday, 19th March, Mr. C. G. Scrimgeour is to open a flower show, schedules for which are available at Jas. Stonehouse, stationer, High St, or at the School. This will be a real test as. to which side of the Valley can grow the best flowers and vegetables! An added attraction will bfe the Hutt Valley Memorial Technical College Band.

The following day, Saturday 20th March, there is to be a School Sports Meeting aiid a Garden Fete. There will be many interesting sports events and in addition stalls will be well laden with cakes, flowers, vegetables, books, fancy goods, small boys' , pants, and oddments of material, etc. . Special surprise entertainment has been arranged and the Hutt Municipal Silver Band under the baton of Mr Arnold ICaye will be in attendance. There will be numerous competitions and a splendid afternoon is assured.

These events are to help along the erection of a two-nurse dental clinic and, as tenders are to be called immediately, parents are urged to help by attending both functions.
