BOULCOTT GOLF CLUB

The sixth annual general meeting of the Boulcott Golf Club took place on 25th February when the president, Mr. Frank Garlick presided over a large attendance of members. The president made reference to the very great service rendered by the club's patron, Mr. A. J. Gearing, over a period of years. It was pointed out that twentyfour members of the club were now serving with the Armed Forces, and the good wishes of all members was extended to them. The balance sheet showed that the Club.was in a good financial position, while the prospects for, thfe incoming season were equally bright Owing to the removal and otherwise of a few members there exists at the moment a few vacancies and intending applicants for membership should get in touch with any of the 'club officers as early as possible. The opening day is March 21st when a mixed Canadian Foursome will be played, starting at 1.30 p.m. Players from visiting clubs will be welcome and make their own arrangements for the morning round. The club's officers for the year are:—Patron, Mr. A. J. Gearing; president, Mr. F. B. Garlick; club captain, Mr. F. Thorne; hon. secretary, Mr W. Jarvle; hon. treasurer, Mr. C. Prince; hon. auditor, Mr. K. T. Jones; hon. solicitor, Mr. E. Hal.dane; committee, Messrs A. Christie, E. V. Dalton, J. Fordie, P. Gar* lick and A. Webley.
