District News Tlip Picture Benefit night at Petone lafU week was quite .successful and will help the district funds substantially. We are very grateful to the threatre management, for their help. It takes more than bad weather to spoil a Scout show and Old Wolves meeting last Thursday was a case in point. Scarlet Feather hasv a very happy family of Cubmasters around her and it was a pleasure to see a gathering so full of good fellowship. Troop Doings A short time ago senior Scouts from the Terrace (Wellington) Troop paid a visit to East llarbour and enjoyed a first rate Saturday night party. Last. Saturday East Harbour Scouts and Guides were invited to Wellington in return, and Terrace Scouts excelled themselves. Scouts. Rovers fend Sjrouters. Cubinasters. Rangers. CHi ides and Guiders filled the hall to capacity aaul enjoyed every minute of a well-planned programme. Evacuation of the party by way of the Chamber ol' Horrors was exciting enough and a treasure hunt about the august precincts of Parliament Buildings tested our bump of locality to tlie utmost. An apple eating race gave most, of us the pip—literally—but some vigorous folk dancing soon brought the Scout smiles back. Throe cheers for the Terrace Scouts, who in times like these can capture the spirit, of pure fun. entertain with consideration for ail. and make their guests thoroughly at home and happy. Scouting is a game, full of the fun and zest of young life and these boys know this lesson well liet IJs Remember.
