WEDDING
ASTON—CLARK A wedding of interest to old Hutt identities was celebrated at St. J'ude's Lyall Bay on Thursday morning, HOth July, the officiating clergyman being the Hew A. F. R. Parr. The bride was Cynthia Leslie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Clark of Lyall Bay and the bridegroom was Cadet Officer James Purdy. grandson of the late Colonel J. R. Purdy, Director of Medical Services during the last war, and eldest, son of Mrs. Judith Williams, of Lower Hutt and the late Mr. Wilfrid Burt. Aston of Hamilton. The bride, who vv;is given away by her fattier, wore an air force blue ensemble with shoes and hat to match. Pinned on her coat by the bridegroom's present, a sapphire and pearl brooch, was a spray of orchids and pink carnations. The best, man was the bridegroom's brother. Robert. Purdy Williams. After the wedding ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Clark received h few friends and close relatives at. a luncheon held at. their residence at Lyall Hay. Mrs. Clark wore a powder blue coat and skirt, with matching accessories, her tlowers being pink toned cyclamens. The bridegroom's mother wore a black tailored suit with daffodil coloured blouse and hat, and a spray of wall (lowers and golden i'reesias.
