TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD

The Waiwhetu Towns women's Guild marked the occasion of their third anniversary with a social afternoon, when the president, Mrs. Wilson. welcomed visitors from Rongaiai, Miramar, 'Karon,' Br udvlyn, Alicetown and Hutt dies. Tiie birthday cake "v/us cut-Ibry" Mi s. Mourn who extended. bust washes to the guild. A very interesting talk was given by Mrs. C. J. Sci;imegour. iPapier. Mache and many kinds of gloves were on display on the craits table. The lighter side of the programme was well set out, those contributing being Airs. Trower, solos; Misses Grown and Emerson, piano duet; choir two songs; and a skipping dance by a chver young artist. A sketch entilled "Hygiene" gave much amusement the players being Me.suame.s Gibbs, M jir and Gebbie. A dainty afternoon tea was served and a most enjoyable afternoon was brought to a close with the singing of the New Zealand National Anthem.
