INTERHOUSE GIRLS
[1 j- A J>ublic appearance of the Hutt s Valley Interhouse Girls' Association will take place in the, Lower Hutt Recreation Grounds on -Saturday, i- 22nd instant, at 2.30 p.m. This is t the first display given by the newlyI- formed association, and no pains s have been spared to make the funcd tion attractive. A total of 100 girls h belonging to the association will be " on parade, and the seven teams will d give displays of different forms of marching, as well as massed physical drill and ball games. There will (j . be three bands in attendance, and j the girl drummers will make their first public appearance. The association will be assisted by items from the Te Ropu Maori Entertainers and others who have been asked to assist. The girls' teams have been trained by members of the National Reserve and others, and the ball games, ■s are the special feature of Miss i- Campbell, of the Physical Welfare e Department. e i The function will be preceded by s a street march from the new post office via High Street and Woburn Road, and the display will be offly cially opened by TVIr. J. W. Andrews, Mayor of Lower Hutt.
