In the past the Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. has provided first class entertainment in the annual display staged in the theatre, but the great amount of the action work of the gymnasium is lost in such perform ances as a result of lack of stage space. This year a change will be made in the programme to provide an opportunity for parents and those interested in physical education to see the work of the association carried out in its 'natural setting. On Wednesday, 12th No-

vember, in the Petone Gymnasium, and on the following Wednesday, 19th November, at Waterloo, special physical culture demonstrations will be presented by members of the association in their class formations and groups, and the wide variety of activities should provide a most interesting spectacle. "The Play Way to Health" will give parents a clear idea, of the methods adopted in teaching l their six-year-old son liow to take a delight in physical exercise, and tho "Folk Dancing" of their sisters
