RED CROSS UNITS
CHURCH PARADE Considerable interest was evinced in the Hutt Valley and Eastbourne members of the Red Cross Transport Division and Voluntary Aid Detachment who paraded at the 11 o'clock service at St. James's : Angli can Church on Sunday last. The service was conducted by the vicar, Rev. H. E. K. Fry, who spoke on the ideals of fellowship and ser-
vice inspired by the Christian, faith.
After the service the units were inspected by Miss E. I'. Tennent, Commandant in Chief for New Zealand. Miss Small, Advisory Director of the Voluntary Aids, accompanied her while she inspected the detachment as also did Miss Cooper, Commandant Wellington Centre; Miss Robertshaw, assistant commandant, Wellington Centre; and Mrs. E. I. Hubbard and Miss D. Kersley. commandant and assistant commandant respectively of the Lower Hutt Detachment. When inspecting the Transport Division, Miss Tennett was accompanied by Mrs. V. Hole, commandant, Wellington divison; Mrs. M. Bunny, assistant commandant, and the acting head section leader of flip Lower Hutt division, Miss M. Chesney.
Following the inspectioli, Miss Tennent congratulated the units* on the high standard of efficiency they had attained, and said she felt confident that they would be able to meet any calls that might be made upon thein.
