The distance Of the race was about five miles, on a two-lap course. N. Taylor took the leac 1 with R. Robbie In -close attendance Then canie M. Patterson, L. Mallowes, and J. Gpss,. with V. Lovatt and C. Newlandi running together. The order was T the same on the start of the second lap, the only difference being that the runnert were well separated. N. Taylor won very easily from R. Robbie. Times and places for the first six men were: — N. Taylor, 24min. 17sec.; R. Robbie, 25min. 14sec.; L. Mallowes, 25min. 5 3 Bee.; J. Goss, 26min. 20sec.; C. Newlands, 31min. 23sec.; V. Lovatt, 31min. 25sec. This race was a teams race for the Saunder' Cup, the teams and points being: Taylor, Mallowes, Lovatt, 10 points; Robbie, Goss, Newlandß, 11 points. After the run members and supporters were the guests of the committee at a very enjoyable aftetf noon tea. Mr. T. Hurley thanked the committee for the very pleasant afternoon, and congratulated the winner on his fine effort, and also the winning team. Next Saturday the club ipembers will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. Clark, Roparta Street. All members and supporters are invited to attend.
