It was agreed- td make a donation of £10 to the Wellington Free Ambulance Association.
Biri . Hewer drew attention to the practice of tipping rubble into the river whdre the road is being widened at Taita Gorge. It was contend: ed that 'this would not only interfere with the free flow of the river but would have a detrimental effect on the shingle being taken by shingle companies in the lower reaches.. The matter was referred to the engineer for a report.
