CLASS II RESERVE The inspection by the Minister of Defence will take place in Wellington on Thursday evening, November 30th. The company will parade at Museum Street at 7 p.m. Section commanders are asked to arrange transport as before, and cars from Lower Hutt will leave trom Ward Street at 6.30 p.m. Christmas Oheer, <.%<'.> for Troops. The Patriotic Fund Appeal will be launched in Lower Hutt on Friday, December Bth, when a flag day will be held. The Mayor and Mayoress ask the citizens to support • the appeal worthily. The date is being observed in all boroughs throughout the Province, and it is hoped 1 that a substantial sum w;ill be collected to be expended on the provision of Christmas cheer, sports requisites, band instruments, etc., for the troops in camp who are training for active service. In order tnat the appeal may be thoroughly organised a very large number of collectors is needed, and all ladies willing to assist are asked to meet the Mayoress at the Council Chamber at ±30 p.m. on Friday, December Ist.
