Obituary
MRS. S. L. SEDDON
Mrs. Sarah Louisa Seddon, who died tlast week, at her residence, 42 Waterloo Road, was 90 years of age. Sh6 was born in Manchester, England, being the daughter of Mr. Samuel Swarbrick, who was manager of the Great Eastern Railway, In 1881 Miss Swarbrick accompanied her father and sister on a trip to New Zealand, where she remained to keep house for her two brothers at Hamilton. In ,1886 she married Mr. Robert Seddon, of Tauranga, one of the early pioneers, who had arrived in Auckland on the Excelsior in 1859. Mr. and Mrs. Seddon resided at Te Puke. After the death of ner husband in 1906, Mrs. Seddon resided at various times in Trenthara, Invercargill, Auckand, Kelburn, Blenheim, and Gisborne, from where the family removed to Lower Hutt in 1931. Mrs. Seddon leaves a family of four, ■ Professor H. R. Seddon, of the Brisbane University; Mr. S. T. Seddon, surveyor, Hamilton; Mr. G. H. Seddon, District Land Registrar, Dunedin; and Miss Seddon, Lower Hutt. Mrs. Seddon's brother, Mr. H. H. Swarbrick, resides in Sydney, and four sisters, the Misses Swarbrick, in London.
