TAITA CLUB Good entries were received for the Labour week-end tournament held at the Taita golf course. The 36-hole medal round was won by R. E. Kells with a net score of I'll, H. F. Ansell was second with 1?,9 The four-ball best-ball bogey resulted in a win for H. Knowles and Bennett, who finished 8 up after a count back with J. Rudman and K. Drummond. Jack and "Mick" Rudman both finished with 39 points in the Stableford competition, the count back being in favour of Jack. On Sunday the seventh round of the Dickie Cup resulted: T. N. Morrison, 5 up; R. E. Kells, 2 up; T. J. Chapman, 1 up. The most points for the year were scored by J. Rudman, the runner-up being N. Rudman. The following are the results of the finals in the club championships for 1939:—Senior: J. Rudman beat R. Shannon, 4 and 3. Intermediate: A. L. Byrne beat H. A. Kells, 1 up. Junior: T. J. Chapman beat B. Meyer, 1 up.
