"THE STORM." ' The emotional story of adventure and thrills in the lives of wireless operators on American merchant ships are revealed in the spectacular marine drama, "The Storm," to be screened at the De Luxe Theatre to-day, with top-flight performances being turned in by the cast of popular stars, which include Charles Bickford, Barton McLane, Preston Foster, Tom Brown, Nan Grey and Andy Devine. Filmed against the colourful background of giant ships and thundering storms at seal, the narrative possesses power and realism, that sweeps across the sceen with unusual force that it unfolds itself as one of the most virile action dramas to come out of Hollywood in recent months. "BOY TROUBLE" A down-to-earth story of human life, packed with laughs, riotous situations, and human drama, is told in the new Paramount comedy, "Boy Trouble," screening to-night at the De Luxe Theatre. As the title suggests, the picture deals with the difficulties experienced by a typical modern family when it accidentally "acquires" a couple of sons and tries to fit them into the family pattern. Charles Ruggles and> Mary Boland, teamed together again for the first time in two years, are the husband and wife who adopt two chidren "just for spite" and find out that they save their home. GRACIE ALLEN MURDER CASE' Lovers of mystery tales who have always had a great yen to be a detective will not envy the status of Philo Vance, who is called upon to unravel S. S. Van Dine's "The -Grade Allen Murder Case," Paramount's mixture of comedy and mystery which opens on Saturday at the De Luxe Theatre. Warren Wiliam, as Philo Vance, runs up against Gracie Allen, who thinks that she knows just as much about the mystery as he does. Gracie has pointed the accusing finger at Kent Taylor, because she knows that the cigarette case found in the room with the murdered man was Taylor's. "SO THIS IS LONDON" Complication follows complication with almost bewildering rapidity in the typically English comedy "So This is London," screening at the De Luxe Theatre on Saturday. The production is well up to English standards, and that is saying a great deal these days. In the role of Honeycut, Robertson Hare is in his element. He has the support of a strong cast, which includes Alfred Drayton, Sanders, Fay Compton, Bunon Churchill and Reynell and West. PRINCE EDWARD "THE LONE SPY HUNT" Greatest of fiction's most lovable rogues, the Lone Wolf has been pre sold to audiences of millions through Louis Joseph Vance's, thrilling stories! For more than a generation the Lone Wolf has entranced not only mystery-fiction fans but the movie-goers of the world. Here is the first of a new series, "The Lone Wolf's Spy Hunt," featuring a new Lone Wolf —Warren William —and here is one of the most timely of all films.

"JTJST AROUND THE CORNER" There's so much to laugh at, so much to love, bo many things to take away and remember in Shirley Temple's new picture, "Just Around the Corner," that even the most glowing comment can hardly do justice either to Shirley or to the deightful show which 20th Cen-tury-Pox has fashioned around its Number One star. "EXCLUSIVE STORY" Drama, as seen by an ex-news-paper man, comes to the screen of the Prince Edward Theatre in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's " Exclusive Story," co-featuring Franchot Tone and Madge Evans. An exciting tale of a crusade versus modern day racketeers, it was written by Martin Mooney, New York reporter, who was, placed under fire by a grand jury and sentenced to gaol for refusing to divulge the source of his astonishing information read by millions in a series of sensational newspaper articles. From this material the new picture was written, adapted by Michael Fessier. a A Lucien Hubbard production, directed by George Seitz, it also features Stuart Erwin, Joseph Calleai, Robert Barrat, J. Farrell Mac Donald, Louise Henry, and others. "THE GLADIATOR" Man Mountain Dean, heaviest of the heavyweight grapplers, tussels tunnel-mouthed Joe E. Brown three falls to a finish for the world's wrestling championship on "The Gladiator," Columbia comedy. Brown, who holds the world's standing broad grin title, is cast in the major role, as a scientificallycreated superman whose misadventures make the new film one of the most unusual, and most entertaining, ever to come from Hollywood. "8 SMART GIRLS GROW UP" What is said to be the most pleasing picture in which Deanna Durbin has ever appeared, Univesal's "Three Smart Girls Grow Up," comes to the Prince Edward Theatre Saturday and Monday. KING GEORGE "TAILSPIN" "Tailspin," currently showing at the King George Theatre, is an absorbing story of the women of the sky . . the ceaseless emotional excitement . . the startling melodrama that is their way of living. They take a man's game and make it their own kind. Alice Fay, Constance Bennett, Nancy Kelly and Joan Davis head the cast. "CONFESSIONS OF A NAZI SPY" "Confessions of a Nazi Spy," starring Edward G. Robinson, has its first local showing on Friday at the King George Theatre. It is a sensational exposure of the direct military and naval espionage of Nazi agents in the United States as brought out in the recent trials in New York, Los Angeles, and the Panama Canal zone. Leon G. Turrou, former G-Man, acted as technical adviser on the Warner Broo. production. While "Confessions of a Nazi Spy" is a fictional story, the espionage methods it exposes are real, and the combination of authenticity and fiction has been heralded as the strongest and most thrilling dramatic fare ever to come to the screen. .
